Courtney Porter, DC, CCSP

SPORTS CHIROPRACTOR

Dr. Porter has led an active lifestyle from an early age. She has experience competing in a wide array of athletics, including gymnastics, track and field, and dance. Having had to recover from a lower back injury and a shoulder labrum tear at different points in her athletic career, Dr. Porter understands how to overcome the obstacles to a complete recovery. She knows that recovery from an injury is a team-effort, and emphasizes communication with her patients in order to identify their injuries and find a recovery plan that works for them.

In treatment, Dr. Porter focuses on spinal and extremity adjusting while incorporating soft tissue mobilization techniques and rehabilitation. She has worked with athletes across a wide variety of ages and sports as well as patients recovering from concussion and postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, pregnant individuals, children, geriatric patients and the general population. Dr. Porter is passionate about getting you back to your active lifestyle and improving your quality of life. She loves treating all people in all different parts of their lives and wants to help you reach your goals!

During her time in Chiropractic School, Dr. Porter interned with Dr. William Moreau, DC, DACBSP, who served as the Chief Medical Officer of the USA Olympic team for many years.

She also served as president of University of Western State’s Motion Palpation Institute Club.

In her spare time, Dr. Porter continues to stay active through running, hiking, backpacking, dancing, group fitness classes and weightlifting. She also enjoys photography, cooking, and spending time with friends and family. As a former member of the Husky Marching Band and UW Spirit Cheer and Dance team during her time at UW, she still loves going to UW athletic events and football games!
