A passion for understanding the foundational elements of human health and a deeply inquisitive nature led Dr. Ellie Adair to specialize in Integrative Primary Care and Digestive Health. While learning about the microbiome, navigating her own health journey, and seeing family and friends diagnosed with IBS and IBD, she sought to develop a deeper understanding of these conditions.

Functional Medicine seeks to answer “why” someone is sick and not just “what” they are sick with. This deeper inquiry was a perfect philosophical fit for Dr. Adair and the driving force behind her becoming a Naturopathic Resident with Vida.

Her training in naturopathic and functional medicine allows her to utilize a diverse range of modalities including nutrition, botanical medicine, nutraceuticals, and pharmaceuticals to help her patients reach their health goals. Dr. Adair addresses the whole person and considers all factors contributing to disease to get to the root cause of each patient’s condition. She encourages patients to be proactive participators on their health journey and is a firm believer that with adequate tools and education anyone can achieve optimal health.

Her clinical interests include chronic disease management, women’s health, depression and anxiety, atopic conditions including allergies, eczema, and psoriasis, MCAS, and digestive issues including IBS, IBD, and SIBO.

When she’s not in the clinic she enjoys spending time with her husband and their two Australian shepherds, visiting family and friends, spending time outdoors, cooking, and painting.
