VIDA KIRKLAND

Dr. Allen is a sports chiropractor and Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians® (DACBSP®), one of the highest credentials in chiropractic sports medicine. She currently works with the Seattle Storm and works with athletes through USA Fencing as part of their sports medicine team. Her work spans professional, Olympic-level, collegiate, and recreational athletics, with a focus on helping patients recover efficiently, perform at a higher level, and stay healthy long term.

A former college athlete herself, Dr. Allen understands firsthand the physical and mental demands that come with training, competition, injury, and recovery. In addition to her sports medicine background, she has experience treating patients recovering from concussions and post-concussion syndrome, prenatal patients, and individuals navigating recovery from substance abuse. She believes that individualized care, patient education, and a collaborative approach are essential to achieving meaningful and lasting results.

Dr. Allen holds a master’s degree in Sports Medicine and utilizes an evidence-informed treatment approach tailored to each patient’s specific goals and needs. Her treatment style combines spinal and extremity adjusting, soft tissue mobilization techniques including Active Release Technique, and targeted rehabilitation exercises to improve movement quality, reduce pain, and optimize function.

In her free time, Dr. Allen enjoys hiking, playing volleyball, watching Seattle Storm basketball games, and spending time with her cat. She also enjoys stand-up comedy and Thai food.
