Yoona Kim is a Washington state licensed acupuncturist, certified by the National Certification for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Yoona graduated from Oregon College of Oriental Medicine (OCOM) in Portland, OR. To expand her knowledge and clinical skills, she decided to go directly into the doctoral program from the master’s program at OCOM. During these 5 years of studies, she worked with other acupuncturists and medical doctors in different clinical settings to treat various conditions. She has a wide range of clinical experience, having treated people of all ages with diverse health issues including musculoskeletal pain and injuries, women’s health, digestive issues, skin disorders, and anxiety/stress.
Yoona believes that she must truly listen to what her patients say and how they respond to treatment. Each patient receives a customized treatment plan that can include acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, electro-stimulator, cupping, gua sha, heat therapy, as well as advice dietary advice.
Yoona is passionate about helping patients. Her goal is to provide patients with care that is natural and holistic. By doing this she hopes that patients with become self-aware and be able to reach optimal health and balance of mind, body, and spirit. She is committed to continuing her studies and research to keep abreast of current knowledge and practice in the field of acupuncture and oriental medicine.
In her personal time, Yoona enjoys cooking, travel, reading, being outdoors, and most of all, spending time with her family, friends, and her dog, Boree.
