Dr. Josh Jangula’s passion for working closely with patients was sparked in the Black Hills of South Dakota during his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. After graduating, he moved to Seattle to begin studies in complementary and alternative medicine. He earned a Master’s degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Bastyr University in 2009. For the next two years he worked on his Doctorate degree specializing in advance pain management and palliative oncology. His thesis focused on discovering new anti-cancer properties of a specific Chinese herb for breast cancer.
After finishing his academic career, Dr. Jangula worked with a neurologist at Highline hospital. He treated all types of pain conditions as well as acquiring additional clinical skills specializing in vertigo, nerve disorders, and ambulatory deficiencies (I.e. Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis and Stroke rehabilitation).
Dr. Jangula regards the provider – patient relationship as one of the most importance characteristics of his practice. He strives to create and maintain a healthy and healing environment in the clinic. He believes in the combination of Western and Eastern modalities to create the best treatment protocol for patients. He subscribes to the mentality that every discipline contributes a unique perspective to optimal health and views Vida Integrated Health as a direct example of this powerful combination.
When he is not in the clinic, you can find him appreciating the great outdoors. He enjoys backpacking, sea kayaking, snowboarding and water sports. He also enjoys playing golf, ice hockey and basketball.
