Shockwave Therapy®

Shockwave therapy is a nonsurgical in-office treatment to help heal painful musculoskeletal conditions. It is often referred to as acoustic wave Therapy. Shockwave treatment uses pressure waves focused on the site of the pain or injury to stimulate the body’s own natural healing mechanisms, “jump-starting” the healing process. It may also help to heal damaged tissue.

What is Shockwave Therapy?

SHOCKWAVE THERAPY is an acoustic wave which carries high energy to painful spots and myoskeletal tissues with subacute, sub-chronic and chronic conditions. The energy promotes regeneration and reparative processes of the bones, tendons and other soft tissues.

Shockwave is useful for heel pain from plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendinitis, Bursitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, back Pain, neck pain, calves and hamstring tightness, patellar tendinitis, lateral epicondylitis, neuropathies and shin splints. Shockwave can also be used for indications other than Musculoskeletal conditions such as sexual rejuvenation, ED, stretch marks and cellulite.

The safety of this procedure is proven. If done by a qualified provider, the procedure has virtually no risks or side effects.  Since there is no medication, surgery, injections, or anesthesia administered, complications are extremely low.

What Are The Benefits Of Shockwave?

Some potential benefits of shockwave therapy include:

Reducing inflammation: Shockwave therapy may help to reduce inflammation in the affected area, which can help to reduce pain and improve mobility.

Increasing blood flow: The therapy can stimulate blood flow to the affected area, which may help to promote healing and tissue repair.

Breaking down scar tissue: Shockwave therapy may help to break down scar tissue that has formed around an injury, which can help to improve flexibility and range of motion.

Improving muscle function: The therapy may help to improve muscle function in the affected area, which can help to reduce pain and improve overall physical performance.

Promoting healing: Shockwave therapy may help to stimulate the body’s natural healing process, which can help to reduce pain and improve overall function in the affected area.

It is important to note that the effectiveness of shockwave therapy may vary depending on the individual and the specific condition being treated. It is always important to discuss treatment options with a healthcare provider to determine the best course of action.
